PARTICIPATION OF AGS HAJINAR STUDENTS AT ASCEND J&K 2026
The ASCEND J&K 2026 – Startup Ecosystem Summit was successfully held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, from 23rd to 24th July 2026. Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hajinar proudly participated in the prestigious event with three students—Ubaid ur Rehman, Kashif Sayeed, and Faizan Fayaz—accompanied by their mentor, Mr. Rashid Fareed, Teacher & Innovation Mentor. The students showcased their innovative projects, Aqua Fire Defence System and Wildlife Protection System, before academicians, entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts, and government officials.
One of the major highlights of the summit was the interaction with the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah, who visited the exhibition stalls, appreciated the students' innovative ideas, and encouraged them to continue developing technology-driven solutions for society. His appreciation and words of encouragement greatly motivated the young innovators.
The two-day summit provided an excellent learning experience and valuable exposure for both the students and their mentor. Participants from IITs, universities, startups, and schools across Jammu & Kashmir came together on a common platform to exchange ideas and showcase innovation. Several investors and innovation experts appreciated the projects and assured the students that they would remain in contact for future opportunities and possible collaboration.
The participation of AGS Hajinar in ASCEND J&K 2026 proved to be a highly enriching and beneficial experience for both the students and the school. It strengthened the students' confidence, broadened their understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship, and inspired them to pursue future technological advancements. Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Aftab Ahmad Khawaja, Principal, AGS Hajinar, and the continued support of 104 Infantry Brigade and the Unit, the school remains committed to nurturing young innovators and providing them with opportunities to excel at state and national platforms.
The school extends its sincere gratitude to the Headquarters, BB Cantt, especially Mr. Ashish Kataria Sir, for his constant encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support. His vision and continuous motivation have inspired AGS Hajinar to explore new opportunities and achieve excellence in innovation and technology. His support has played a significant role in empowering both students and teachers to participate confidently in prestigious national and state-level platforms.
